Mr. Barhoumi who graduated in 1994 with a BS in Business-Computer and then attained an MBA from the Lebanese American University. In 1995 he joined the Investment Development Authority of Lebanon (IDAL) from 1995 to 1999. During his employment at IDAL, he had the chance to join the UNIDO delegate program where he was posted at the UNIDO-ITPO Milan.
In 1999, Mr. Barhoumi worked as a marketing and commercial consultant for Investcom (a company operating one of the mobile networks in Syria). Early 2000, he joined UNIDO-ITPO Italy and was posted in Lebanon as a national consultant covering Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan in the framework of the project “Preparatory Assistance for Supporting SMEs in the Arab Region”.
In mid-2003, he joined the UNIDO-ITPO Bahrain acting as an Investment Promotion Expert and the Program Coordinator for the Arab International Center for Entrepreneurship & Investment; which implements entrepreneurship & investment development programs in 50 countries.
Mr. Barhoumi has a rich experience in the field of entrepreneurship, MSME development, innovation, incubation and Investment promotion gained through practical fieldwork over the last twenty years.
