H.E. Dr. Saud Bin Saeed

H.E. Dr. Saud bin Saeed Bin Abdulaziz Al‐Mathami is a former Saudi Minister of State member of the Council of Ministers for Shura affairs, born in 1958. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from King Saud University in Saudi Arabia, and a Master’s degree in computer science from Florida State University,  United  States  1987,  and Ph.D. in computer science  (Artificial Intelligence) from the University of London United Kingdom 1991.

Dr. Saud, served many positions in Saudi Arabia including Corporate Vice President for operations international systems engineering/COO, Chairman of Technical Committee of Assir establishment for press and publication, member  of  the  Shura  Council  (1997  –  2003),  and  appointed  as  General Secretary of King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba). He has several publications in the field of computer science  (Artificial  Intelligence) and holds awards and grants; Second   Class Honor,  King  Saud  University  (1980),  British  Aerospace Grant for the Post Doctorate Summer Research Program (1995), Al‐Meftaha Award in Recognition to National Working Pioneers.

Dr. Saud is a member of many governmental and private sectors and also served as a consultant to several entities, most notably: consultant of computer and Informatics of Saudi medical center, consultant of the Royal Commission  for  Jubail  and  Yanbu  for  development  of  computer services, Mecca region consultant for development of computer services, consultant of  computer  jobs  classification  for  Civil  Service  Commission  CSC, pension benefit consultant for computer   network    development, Civil Service Commission Advisor for General Civil Service Bureau for automated archive system development, consultant of  Ministry of    education    for    the development of the strategic plan for information systems, consultant of the Saudi Consulting Services Database for Industrial information, and consultant Arthur Little computer studies and Informatics, corporate advisor for international systems engineering advanced defensive technology transfer and resettlement, consultant of the Emirate of Asir region for development of the information network within the emirate and the provinces. He is currently the Secretary-General at King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity.
