Mrs. Fadia Suleiman Hussein Mohamad is a strong advocate towards development with special focus on women and youth. In 1978, she graduated from Sisters Khartoum School. Afterward, she joined Neelain University and completed her Bachelor of Accounting in 1982. Later, she joined the Banking Institute and gained her Diploma in 1988.
Mrs. Fadia worked for the Bank of Khartoum from 1983 to 1997. Moreover, she was also a teacher at the Cambridge Elementary School. In 1997, she used her educational background in accounting and desire to make a change in society to establish as a tribute to her late father “Mr. Suliman Hussein”; together with her twin sister and niece the first school for children with special needs in Sudan in with only five children. Today this school has 800 students and not only children with special needs but because of her philosophy in those mixing children with others will play a vital role in stimulating the educational curve for those with special needs. Currently, the school covers kindergarten, primary and secondary classes and has been converted from a school into an Academy. All this has taken a lot of effort and attention to the need to develop the educational system in Sudan. What Mrs. Fadia has started with an investment of 20,000 USD has turned today to be a 6million USD educational academy.
Mrs. Fadia is currently a Board Member in several places like the Suliman Hussein Academy, Normis for gold exploration, and Zam Limited for Mining. She is also a Member of the Union of Women Arab Investors.
With her dedication to volunteer work and further developments, Mrs. Fadia continues to work hard in this field, gain courses, and attend conferences and exhibitions.
