He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Marmara University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in 1995, Master of Science in Social Policy from Istanbul University Social Sciences Institute in 1997 and Ph.D.in Production Management and Marketing Department from Marmara University Social Sciences Institute in 2002.
UZKURT worked as a lecturer in Kırıkkale University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences; Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and Yildirim Beyazit University Faculty of Business Administration. After becoming Associate Professor in 2009, he worked as a guest lecturer at Alliant International University, School of Management in USA, he carried out project studies on national R&D and innovation systems, innovation management, innovative organizational culture, and marketing – innovation relationship.
In 2015, he became a professor. His specific fields are Turkey’s R&D and innovative structure, innovative entrepreneurship, innovation and intellectual property rights, technoparks, R&D centers, incubation centers, impact analysis, marketing strategies, consumer behaviors and marketing research issues. In addition, he has many books, book chapters and academic articles published in national and international academic platforms related to these fields.
UZKURT, who is also the Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, was the General Directorate of Science and Technology between 2012 and 2015 in the same ministry. Currently, he is a member of TPE Advisory Board, member of Energy Efficiency Coordination Board and member of TÜBİTAK Science Board. He has been working as the President of KOSGEB since June 07, 2017.
